This person will lead engaging communications and stakeholder initiatives, leading to increased understanding and community confidence.

Key Responsibilities include

• Drive the development, implementation, and management of strategic communication plans and campaigns for projects across the Sunshine Coast Region.
• Work alongside project delivery teams to craft messaging that connects community members with the social and economic benefits of transport infrastructure.
• Build strong and enduring stakeholder relationships—whether discussing timelines with contractors or engaging community groups interested in the projects.
• Create innovative materials (media releases, newsletters, social media content) that keep commuters and residents updated on project progress—no jargon, just clear, relatable information.
• Identify potential challenges before they arise and develop strategies to keep communication flowing smoothly.

Someone who can turn complexity into clarity and bring energy into every project you touch. You might call yourself a storyteller, a strategic thinker, or even a “communications traffic controller” who ensures that everything stays on track.

To be successful in the role, you’ll need:

• A tertiary qualification in Communications or Public Relations or a related field is highly desirable, along with IAP2 Certification in addition to previous experience in communications, stakeholder and community engagement, or public relations, (preferably in government or infrastructure).
• An understanding of infrastructure and construction
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A proven ability to engage communities, build relationships with diverse stakeholders, and manage messaging with sensitivity—especially in high-profile or fast-paced environments.
• Experience working within or with government departments, balancing community value with organisational priorities.
• A proactive, solutions-focussed mindset.

We are currently seeking an AO4 Procurement Officer to support a major Queensland Government transport agency responsible for planning, building, and maintaining the state’s extensive road network and transport infrastructure. This organisation plays a vital role in keeping Queensland connected—delivering highways, road upgrades, and transport initiatives that support economic growth, safety, and mobility across the state.

Based in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, this role sits within a regional infrastructure delivery team that supports procurement activities tied to critical transport projects. The Opportunity In this role, you will support procurement activities that underpin the delivery of transport infrastructure projects. Working alongside senior procurement specialists, you will help ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with government policy and best practice.
You will contribute across the full procurement lifecycle, from planning and documentation through to evaluation and supply arrangement establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and apply procurement policies and procedures in line with departmental and whole-of-government requirements.
Support end-to-end procurement activities, including procurement planning, documentation review, evaluation processes, and establishment of supply arrangements.
Provide administrative and project support on more complex procurement activities under the direction of senior procurement advisors.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes, procedures, and delegations.
Maintain procurement records, spreadsheets, and registers to support accurate reporting and governance requirements.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
Support asset and managed item administration, including sourcing, stocktake, useful life reviews, and disposal.
Occasionally assist staff with aspects of contract management.
Utilise Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and other systems to manage procurement information and reporting.

Key selection criteria:

Experience supporting procurement activities within government or large organisations
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Confidence working with Excel, SharePoint, and procurement registers
Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and provide practical procurement guidance
A proactive approach to process improvement and team collaboration

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Manager – Quality Assurance, you will lead the site’s quality and food safety function across two shifts (day and night). You will also have:

Two Direct Reports (QA Supervisors)
A broader team of QA staff operating across day and night shift
Responsibility for maintaining and improving all site quality systems, auditing, compliance, and customer requirements
Oversight of a beef-only processing operation
A full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday overtime when production requires

Key Requirements

Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance within food manufacturing
Strong understanding of BRC, HACCP, regulatory standards, and export compliance
Leadership experience managing QA teams or supervisors
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Meat industry or primary processing experience (highly regarded)

As Land Use Investigations Officer, you will join the existing team in a long-term role right from the off. Starting ASAP, this position will extend onwards until the end of November at the very earliest and is very likely to be ongoing past this into 2027.

In this role, you will play a key role in the protection of the local Environment in the Logan region. Being the key liaison between ongoing development in Logan and the protection of the environment/community, you will have a busy and interesting workload to get stuck into. Every day will be different and include the following duties:

Enforce the provisions of the planning scheme and the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 as a regulatory function of the development
assessment process.
Investigate, interview, gather evidence with a community education focus and formulate action with regards to the legislation
available in relation to alleged offences under the planning scheme:
- The investigation of allegations of activities as contained in the “defined users” in the town planning scheme.
- Investigations of allegations regarding land use outside the purpose definitions.
- Complaints arising from the existence of a Council approved activity.
- Complaints arising from activities outside of the approval conditions.
Liaise with owners, developers, contractors, builders, town planners, etc with respect to current or projected land use inconsistencies with the planning scheme and provide a quality direction for their future compliance.
Provide quality customer service in all dealings with all customers of the Branch.
Commence enforcement actions with regards to the planning scheme, local laws and subordinate local laws by issuing show cause
notices, enforcement notices, verbal direction compliance notices and where appropriate infringement notices.
Prosecution of offences where directed by Council including the giving of evidence in a Magistrates Court and Planning and
Environment Court.

Formal qualifications, such as the Associate Diploma - Built Environment or similar would be an advantage.
Knowledge of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, Town Plan documents and Policies and ability to read and assess Building
Plans / Development Plans is desirable.
Proven ability to conduct inspections and investigations on a community level, and produce effective outcomes within the
parameters of relevant Legislation, relevant Local Laws and Council policies.
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
and from all backgrounds and the ability to act tactfully in sometimes very sensitive situations.
Excellent written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to formulate concise and accurate written reports and
correspondence.
Proven ability to operate a computer to access and retrieve data in accordance with the Council’s requirements and procedures.
Ability to maintain effectiveness and motivation when required to do so and the ability to respect and accept requests, directions
and workforce change from Supervisory staff with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Excellent organisational skills, the ability to focus on specific tasks

As their new Environment Officer, you will immerse yourself on implementing community projects working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and finding creative solutions to urban sustainability issues. The role will work with individuals, groups, business and others in the Environment and Sustainability Group to enhance positive momentum to stakeholder engagement, ongoing project success and broader community partnerships relating to urban sustainability.

You role will be one where keeping between the hedges may be difficult but finding innovative solutions which bring positive outcomes is the reward for colouring outside the lines at times. Your duties will be amazing, and include:

Working in partnership with staff from across Council, other local councils, environmental networks, NGOs, Government and community groups to deliver sustainability engagement and support for the community.
Coordination of networks and acting as a primary contact for community liaison, e.g. schools and community gardens
Build upon existing relationships for external groups such as SSROC, neighbouring local councils, catchment management groups, NGOs, research partners, federal and state government agencies, funding bodies, industry groups, Sydney Water, community and business groups, schools, event/campaign managers, etc.
Delivery of community sustainability programs e.g community composting, community gardens, Council environmental grants and other actions as outlined in Council’s Sustainability Strategies.
Participating in and delivery of environmental themed events such as festivals, forums and workshops to the community.
Preparation of information for Council's website and other communications such as newsletters and social media.

Experience in managing and running community events, workshops and activities.
