We are currently seeking an AO4 Procurement Officer to support a major Queensland Government transport agency responsible for planning, building, and maintaining the state’s extensive road network and transport infrastructure. This organisation plays a vital role in keeping Queensland connected—delivering highways, road upgrades, and transport initiatives that support economic growth, safety, and mobility across the state.
Based in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, this role sits within a regional infrastructure delivery team that supports procurement activities tied to critical transport projects. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement experience who enjoys working within structured government frameworks and contributing to projects that directly impact communities.
The Opportunity In this role, you will support procurement activities that underpin the delivery of transport infrastructure projects. Working alongside senior procurement specialists, you will help ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with government policy and best practice.
You will contribute across the full procurement lifecycle, from planning and documentation through to evaluation and supply arrangement establishment.

The Opportunity In this role, you will support procurement activities that underpin the delivery of transport infrastructure projects. Working alongside senior procurement specialists, you will help ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with government policy and best practice.
You will contribute across the full procurement lifecycle, from planning and documentation through to evaluation and supply arrangement establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply procurement policies and procedures in line with departmental and whole-of-government requirements.
- Support end-to-end procurement activities, including procurement planning, documentation review, evaluation processes, and establishment of supply arrangements.
- Provide administrative and project support on more complex procurement activities under the direction of senior procurement advisors.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes, procedures, and delegations.
- Maintain procurement records, spreadsheets, and registers to support accurate reporting and governance requirements.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
- Support asset and managed item administration, including sourcing, stocktake, useful life reviews, and disposal.
- Occasionally assist staff with aspects of contract management.
- Utilise Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and other systems to manage procurement information and reporting.
- Experience supporting procurement activities within government or large organisations
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Confidence working with Excel, SharePoint, and procurement registers
- Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and provide practical procurement guidance
- A proactive approach to process improvement and team collaboration
