About the role:
  
The Product Coach will be responsible to work with multi-disciplinary team/s shifting to a product delivery team using product principles and practices including the DTA Whole of Government Service, Design and Delivery process (SDDP).

The Customer and Staff Digital Programs division commenced a pilot approach for managing our digital products using principles and practices of enabled and empowered product teams. These product teams would be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products, covering discovery, design and delivery.

This approach will allow the agency to test and learn how this new design and delivery method operates within Services Australia when delivering digital government services to customers and is focused on establishing the new ways of working, operating, and governing digital services including myGov.

Responsibilities:

• Support product managers and the team in understanding product management practices and developing their skills.
• Help product managers articulate a compelling vision and strategy that focuses on desired outcomes.
• Encourage and support the use of design and user research, embedding the disciplines into the team everyday practice.
• Help the team to understand the foundational principles in product discovery and delivery.
• Foster an agile oriented mindset that prioritises action, learning and iteration.
• Help the Product manager and Delivery manager to facilitate communication and collaborative activities that align to product practice particularly for stakeholders.
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of product outside of the team and more broadly.

Experience

• Extensive experience implementing Product Management practices and frameworks
• Familiarity with DTA Whole of Government Service, Design and Delivery process (SDDP).
