We are currently partnering with a well-established national food manufacturer in Brisbane’s southern corridor, seeking a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Officer (hybrid role) to join their site-based team.

This is a hands-on QA role within a fast-paced production environment, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with operations, and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are consistently met.

The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager and Senior QA, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance across raw materials, production, and finished goods.

You’ll be actively involved in quality checks, process monitoring, and continuous improvement, ensuring products meet both regulatory and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operational checks, GMP audits, ATP testing, and micro swabbing
• Monitor production processes including temperature control, ingredient accuracy, and stock rotation
• Inspect raw materials, packaging, and finished products for quality and compliance
• Manage positive release processes and ensure only compliant product is dispatched
• Maintain accurate QA documentation and support audit readiness
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
• Support training, inductions, and QA-related initiatives on site
• Assist with NPD trials, product assessments, and continuous improvement activities

About You

• Experience in a QA role within food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards (SQF/BRC highly regarded)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Confident communicator who can work closely with production teams
• Proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving

Highly regarded:

• Experience in ready-to-eat or fresh food manufacturing
• Food Science or related qualification
