Description:
We are currently partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business based in Brisbane, seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their engineering team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, systems, and on-site operations, and is looking to play a key role in improving maintenance performance across a complex production environment.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will take ownership of the maintenance planning function, ensuring all preventative and corrective maintenance activities are effectively scheduled, tracked, and optimised.

You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations, while also driving improvements through better use of data and systems.

This is a hands-on role that combines planning and analysis with regular time on the floor to understand equipment performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage weekly and monthly maintenance schedules
  • Create detailed work orders including scope, resources, and timelines
  • Maintain and optimise the CMMS system as the central source of maintenance data
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, failures, and improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain maintenance dashboards and reporting tools
  • Manage spare parts inventory to balance availability and cost
  • Coordinate and plan shutdowns and major maintenance activities
  • Work closely with stakeholders across engineering and production to align priorities
About You
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner role within manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems (D365 highly regarded)
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Trade qualification or engineering-related background preferred
