We are currently seeking experienced commercial and contract management professionals for two key opportunities within a major public sector water and infrastructure organisation. The organisation manages a multi-billion-dollar asset base, serving over 1.5 million residents and thousands of commercial customers across a large regional area. Its Integrated Solutions Group supports long-term planning, financial sustainability, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects that enhance community liveability.

Role 1: Contract Specialist (2 positions) - Temp position About the Role:
As a Contract Specialist, you will manage high-value infrastructure contracts (up to $70M per annum), provide expert commercial guidance, oversee cost tracking, and ensure contract compliance across multiple projects. You will liaise with senior stakeholders and contractors to optimise contract performance, identify cost savings, and support delivery of complex infrastructure programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer major contracts, variations, and governance frameworks
  • Monitor project and contract costs, including claims, accruals, and reporting
  • Provide commercial advice to program managers and senior stakeholders
  • Review supplier performance, negotiate claims, and ensure compliance
  • Support procurement under TCE / ECI or similar frameworks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring:
  • 3–6 years’ experience in contract management, ideally in public sector or infrastructure projects
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of project planning, cost control, and work breakdown structures
  • Tertiary qualifications in administration, finance, construction, engineering, accounting, or equivalent
Role 2: Commercial Support Officer / Contracts Advisor - Temp position About the Role:
This role provides commercial and contract administration support, helping track project costs, process claims, maintain documentation, and support procurement activities. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a high-performing commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain financial and project work orders and support cost tracking
  • Assist with claims processing, accruals, and reporting
  • Collate, validate, and analyse commercial and financial data
  • Support procurement documentation and vendor management
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documents for internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring:
  • 3–6 years’ experience in commercial support or contract administration.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of project finance and contract administration principles
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, or related discipline (desirable)
