THIS ROLE IS BASED AT THE NORTHERN END OF THE GOLD COAST

Our client is a leading Australian beef exporter, supplying premium beef and ambient products to global markets. They pride themselves on their commitment to quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

As they continue to strengthen their international operations, they are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Export Documentation Officer to support their export logistics function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and manage sales and purchase contracts for export customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue shipping instructions, including draft and original Bills of Lading.
  • Lodge export-related applications and documentation such as:
    • RFP (Request for Permit)
    • EDN (Export Declaration Number)
    • PRA (Pre-Receival Advice)
  • Coordinate and compile all required export documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, health certificates, certificates of origin, and government documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with DAFF, customs, and international regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping for all export shipments.
Logistics Coordination
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, cold stores, transport providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth export movements.
  • Assist with tracking shipments and resolving any discrepancies or documentation issues.
  • Communicate timelines, changes, and requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • General Office & Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the export and operations teams.
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and updating internal systems.
  • Undertake general office duties as required to support the smooth running of daily operations.
Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Previous experience in export documentation, logistics, or supply chain administration (protein export experience highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of Australian export processes and documentation requirements.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems.
Desirable
  • Experience within the meat, protein, or FMCG export sector.
  • Knowledge of DAFF systems and export certifications.
